Hope this year proves to be a very happy prosperous healthy and joyous one
to you all
Thanking you all for your love prayers and sharing through 2016 and for just being the loving
caring sisters that you all are
Sandra a happy belated birthday to you hope it was a good one
Thank you once again for our new home and we willingly accept the gauntlet you have thrown down to us and im sure we will
excel all your expectations over the coming year and that you will see that being the chatty bunch that we are we will soon
skim through those pages throughout the year if only to prove THAT WE CAN
Thank you to you and Louise for all your support over the years with hopefully many more years to come
The thread has certainly grown and changed over the years with only a few in the beginning to many now
Many have come some have passed and those we fondly remember and some have just left but we still remain the happy and resilient bunch we always were with our constant love for our four wonderful guys and their fantastic music which not only brings great joys but which forms some long and lasting friendships all over the world
I still look back on those early days and remember all the fun and mischief we had poor Carlos he must have been in a permanent spin flying back and forth between you I and Gin and all the virtual road trips we took of which there were many
Those my Cutie friend were great fun and now we are in a new era with new Divas and still having as much fun as ever
God Bless and keep well love you
Now girls to our trip and yes seeing Sandy was a huge surprise for Jackie and I AND AT MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP TOO
The surprise did not stop there as we then carried down onto a famous eating place called PATTIS in Grand Rivers Kentucky
Jackie was overcome as she said it brought so many memories back to her
We stayed overnight in a beautifully situated hotel near the lake with spectacular scenery
We had the best of days weather wise that day
In the evening we went to Pattis to eat and I have never before seen such beautiful Christmas decorations there wasnt a space that wasnt Christmas both inside and out it was truly a breathtaking sight and a memory never to be forgotte and my description could never do it justice
It rained on the way back but the shone in our state
Just waiting for Jackie to come back from church then we are going to Connies for the day
Will relate more when we get home
Have a wonderful day all
Love from us both

HELLO MS DORA, LYDIA AND LEIGH ANNE
Queenie, Lydia and I were on the phone trying to figure out where Connie had planned for you and Ms Jackie. Lydia said she thought it would be to see Sandy and sure enough she was right. I am "OVER THE MOON" for you all to meet up at "YOUR FAVORITE SHOPPING PLACE". When I saw the pictures Connie posted of that town and all their Christmas lights I was so Jealous of you all and your fun. So glad you got to see and eat at the famous Patti's. Will you be able to get all that "STUFF" home in your suitcases?
Dora I am so hoping you had fun and eventful New Years Eve celebration. Lydia and Leigh Anne--I too did not make it to
midnight and didn't even try!! Up so early for work yesterday morning and not being able to get to sleep the night before work-I was fighting sleep at 9PM so Emmy and I checked out then
Lydia, you need to get better and ready for NEW YEAR SHENANIGANS TO COME!!
Thank you KATHY for my sweet URS

Here's to 2017 and the best is yet to come for our Merry Band of Merry Makers on the USA Thread!!!
All the best to each you in our little group here!
We enjoyed a family New Year's last night with Faith -
a first for us to toast the occasion with our youngest child being old enough to legally toast! Yikes!
Ty made it safely back to Benning on the 26th and reported to Ranger School this morning at 9AM.
Testing tomorrow morning determines the first cut in who stays and who goes home, so...very much
appreciate your prayers and special thoughts for him as he meets this challenge. If he calls me in the
morning, it's because he's headed back...if not, then he made the first cut and has to survive the week
in order to stay for the 3 phase course. So in other words, no news is good news!!! Drew was able to
call several times last week and he is well. Got the Boodle Boxes for his troops and all but one of his
personal Christmas boxes. Hopefully, it will turn up soon!!! Jose has been on vacation (mostly - still
emails and several telephone conferences) and it was so nice. His first time off in 2016!!! Had fun, did
some chores, enjoyed the mostly phenomenal weather and relaxed! It's been nice, so that's why I have
been MIA!!! I have read to keep up mostly each day and do want to say:
"Happy Birthday Sandra"!!!!!!!!! Many happy returns to you and thank you SO very much for keeping us straight
in the International Thread so we can connect with each other. You and Louise are "true blue" and very
dedicated to our Guys and the Forum! I appreciate what you both do! Hope your birthday was most
Hope to be back on tomorrow...company coming within the hour and I must go tidy the kitchen!!!! Dinner out
at least, but back here for dessert and games. Bed is made for the 5th time this holiday season and the bath
squeaky clean again!!!! Hugs and my best again to each of you lovelies!!!!!!!

Hello everyone and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Alice got home OK late Dec. 27. She'll be going back to work shortly.
I had a quiet New Year's eve. I hope 2017 will be a good year for everyone, especially for Alice and Jean, each of whom had surgeries this past year.
Making the usual New Year's Day dinner -- sauerkraut, boca (non-meat) pork patties, mashed potatoes, and salad.
The weather has been fairly nice. Had a little snow yesterday and none today.
Will stop by later.
