Probably there are lots of fans just like me who have loads of pictures stored on their computers. I myself always try to organize these by putting them in folders of concerts, perfomances etc. Giving them a time and place stamp.

But I also have a lot of pictures from which I have no idea where they were taken or when and I think that's unfortunate. Lately I sensed there are many among us who have the same 'problem'. Therefor I have asked our MODS if it would be a good idea to open a new topic.

So here we are. In this topic we can leave a request for help to put a date and place on a picture of the guys.

Hi Jolande

Yesterday I was checking out some other sections in the forum and here in the GALLERY, last page, I found this. It doesn't have the date (although you can maybe know they were taken before the time of the post) but at least it says these pics are from Switzerland, it seems to be a newspaper or a mag. Hope it helps!

Jolande, thanks for starting this thread!!! I was going to look into it myself when I got back from traveling, so I'm glad to see you did it!

Here's the pic that sort of started the discussion, so thought I'd see if anyone knows where or when it was taken, or even who the photographer is.

If the info is found out, could it be shared? I know I have a lot of pics with no names on them, let alone date, place and time. I'm also concerned about using someone's pic that may have had their name cropped off without them being aware of it. Even if someone doesn't care about their pics being used, it would still be helpful to know which ones those are!

Hi, Karen-Uberette,

Here's a pic that I''m pretty sure is a companion to the last one you posted, and it's internal date stamp is 5-5-07. However, They weren't doing a concert on that day or anywhere close to it (none from 4/24 to 5/13/07), so it must have been some special appearance they were making outside of the tour schedule.

Of course, not all photographers are careful to set the date on their cameras, so it isn't always reliable to go by the internal date stamp. Sorry this isn't more conclusive!! Maybe someone else has more specific info.

The middle pic in the black velvet suit was taken on 5/25/07 in Manchester, UK. Yea!!! We identified one of them! Unfortunately, I have no idea who tood the pic.

Just a little addition to Nora's answer. The picture was taken on 05-05-2006 !!! Just before the second concert in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I do not know who took the picture though.

Here is another one of that afternoon and one can see the cloths are the same and he is also holding the same 'laptop'.

I had an email fr Cathy regarding the Hot Purple Man. I never saw the original pic, so it must have been cropped from before. I just feel better if they have names on them! I can understand that some people don't want to put their names on them, but it sure makes it easier for us 'collectors'. I think it's always going to be a gray area. I just hope if I ever use somebody's pic by mistake they would let me know (nicely, of course!).

As for the screen caps - I don't have anything specific but this one looks like it's from an interview I saw on YouTube where they were talking about fans. Will have to check again, I know I have it marked somewhere. Maybe someone can answer in the meantime.

My questions is - how do you get screen caps to come out that big?? (ok, that's not part of this thread, I know - but still I'm curious) ~ k

The other two I don't know but this one is from the interview from the Live in Barcelona DVD, I think.
