checking slight changes in costume, hairstyle etc
until we guess which gig each intro was lifted from...
Yippee!
(OK, as if we needed excuses... )

Trouble is, it's such a busy time of year!

Can't wait to have the DVD! I will buy it in London, it will be a great reminder of the days I so look forward to.

I must say I agree with Anca. As much as I like to hear the audience enjoy itself during performances and interact with the guys, I don't like it when people scream during the songs and sing louder than the guys. We all go there to hear THEM sing, not the one sitting next/in front/behind or around us. I saw some videos on youtube which are nothing else but people screaming whenever any of the guys sings a note. It was annoying and I didn't bother to watch those videos to the end.

With the risc of having here tomatoes thrown towards me, I really hope London will be concerts where we can enjoy IL DIVO sing and not the audience scream!

Sounds like a fantastic idea, it is a busy time of year, but this is a great way to relax and have fun!

also cant wait for the cd/dvd . hopefully mother nature will cooperate, and I'll go get it first thing in the AM on Tuesday

I checked some websites from Belgian music stores like Free record shop en ECI and both says November 27 as releasedate for the new dvd I hope it is true !!!

I’ve got my dvd. Having had the chance to watch the concert again, I have to say, the final song in the concert, Impossible Dream, is most fitting (and gives hope that some us can live the impossible dream! ). Looking back, they have come a long way. Their latest album is now my favourite, ranked above the earlier albums. Somehow their voices have blended so well yet still distinguishable to fans.

The ‘on tour’ segment was not quite what I expected. I think it’s because I’m a movie-goer, so when I read “behind the scenes” I had different expectations I won’t say too much, everyone else might be anxious to watch it so I won’t spoil the fun/expectation

Definitely worth getting if you didn’t get the chance to attend the concert. This 2009 tour is very different to the last tour. Oh, get it even if you have seen the concert. Watching it is almost like re-living the concert but it might be slightly different to your own live experience. Nothing beats a live performance but I got to see the bits that were not at my live experience, such as the man with the bagpipe, and screens rolling up and down (yes the same ones that almost hit Sebastien). I don’t remember seeing them at the concert I attended

p/s I did notice that the conductor at the Barcelona concert was a man but at the Melbourne concert it was a lady. Was that my imagination? Or do they use a different orchestra for different continents?

Just got home from late night shopping (yes, we only get one late night shopping a week here in Perth!!) my best purchase was our new DVD An Evening with Il Divo! Couldnt believe it when I saw it on the shelves as I only went in to check they going to have it for the weekend. Of course all shopping went out of my head and surprised my hubby by arriving home so quicky!!

Just watching it now and reliving all the wondURSful concerts and meeting all the super fans, here in OZ................only up to La Promessa and tears are wellng up again.................I dont care whether it is dubbed or not it is just fantastic to be able to see and hear them all over again, Heaven knows when we shall be lucky enough to see them again over here!

Off to relive the joy again.

The Barcelona show was Il Divo's biggest capacity performance in Europe and took place at Palau Sant Jordi (20,000). The 10-track CD boasts rich and diverse repertoire from their five studio albums, featuring songs from their latest record The Promise. Accompanying the CD is a live DVD of the show in English and Spanish versions. The DVD features two songs never before recorded by the band, "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "The Impossible Dream", as well as insightful behind the scenes footage and a making of the tour interview with Il Divo. The dazzling live show was staged and choreographed by William Baker (Kylie) on a state of the art set.

That explains the Spanish version seen so far. Ingrid and the Spanish Divas will probably hace seen the Spanish version...find out more tomorrow when they post

Hello everyone!!!!

It's 4 am here and I'm exhausted from all the driving and stuff but oh, gosh, was it worthy!!!!
I just came back from the cinema in BArcelona!!!

We arrived a bit late to the screening because I got lost in Barcelona as usual (anyone want to buy me a GPS???). We got in when Isabel was on and the next song was BOTW that was introduced by Urs in Spanish as originally was in the concert. I've read elsewhere though that there'll be Spanish and Englsh versions which is very cool.

Everythign I saw for the next hour and a half was Spanish and I loved the bit after Senza Catene when David has to introduce Mama but he says "No puedo respirar!" (I can't breathe) and he laughs with the audience. I remembered when I heard him at the concert he was so cute.

There are lots of other moments that brought lovely memories and I really can't wait to have the DVD on my hands!!!

I spotted a lot of familiar faces!!!! Olly (girl, you're everywhere!!! I spotted you like three times at the least), Irene (you like dancing, uh?), Josie, Poppy, Isabel, Vicky, ... I'm sure there were more but I can't remember the names right now!!!

And wait for it!!! When Sebastien is walking in the circle during Amazing Grace, right before he's going up the stairs there's a girl with the spotlight all over her who shakes hands with Sebastien: THAT'S ME!!!!! YAY!!!! With Vicky by my side, of course!!! Omg!!! It's amazing having that very special moment to me in the DVD!!!! I was so excited I wanted to scream!!!!!!

Just a couple of details about the screening: the image quality was quite bad, as it seemed like they were showing a DVD quality in a cinema screen and of course wasn't good at all, very blurry. Of course this won't be appreciated in the DVD. The sound was fantastic though. And there wasn' a single little tiny advertisement, poster or picture of the guys in the cinema!!!!! Who's taking care of the guys promotion????

Well, now i'm going to bed... Night night!
