Hi guys,

So the tour is finished now, how depressing for us. But for you, a well-deserved period of rest after the X-mas concerts. You must be so tired. I do hope you get some quality time with your loved ones and charge your batteries for all the endeavors you will be undertaking in the new year.

I do hope that we may look forward to some more concerts in 2010. I would be so so happy if I could see you guys on stage again...

But for now, have a good rest and take care. Health and happiness before anything else.

Love you and adore you. Be safe, my dears.

Hello our dearest divos.

Brazil is here to say "olá" to you.

You were finally here after 5 years (yeah David, we were so paying attention to you!) and it couldn't be more perfect. All the time waiting and the entire anticipation wasn't too long after watching that perfect flawless awesome concert.

You four gave us the time of our lives. The most perfect evening we could all dream of.

I hope you enjoy your time off and please, take a good rest and stay with your family and friends. You need to recharge and refresh.

We expect Il Divo will come to us many times again.

Thank you. Obrigada.

xoxo

Well.. hello Il Divo!

As first thing I have to apologize for my bad English. (I’m not from any of the English speaking countries and a brake in studying the language that lasted almost 2 years makes all the english words I’ve ever known simply disappeared. :-) And don’t mention the tenses and language rules. So ... I’m sorry!)

I don’t want to bother you with words how amazing you are, how beautiful voices you have or how much good looking you seem to me (even if this all is completely true), because I think you already know it. (I’m sure I would not be the first or the last one to tell you that.)
I can’t also call myself “the biggest fan” because I found that Il Divo exists last week (yeah.. I have always been slower than the others.. :-) ).

So I just wanted to say I like you very much, I like your singing, I like your songs and the way you are performing them (on the videos is really visible how much you enjoy it). The only one thing I’m sorry for is that I have no chance to see you singing live. And here comes my question: Do you plan in near future to visit the Czech Republic with your tour? (If so, please let me know and I’m going to save money for the ticket immediately! :-) )

At the end I wish you good luck, much health and love in your further lives and in upcoming year 2010 and of course Merry Christmas (I know that is still November but the Christmas are closer and closer... :-) ) And please, stay the same - don’t go changing!

Bye, bye from the Czech Republic! Jana

PS: It seems to be a little longer than I have expected. :-) I know you're not going to read it - I wouldn't read something so long as well. :-)

Hi good morning Sebastien, Urs, David and Carlos

I hope they rest and recuperate for the next concerts remaining this year, certainly this year 2009 was great, full-deserved success for you.

I just wanted to thank them for their visit to Chile, I saw for the first time in October and filled my heart with various emotions, this year has been good for me, I have spent many bad things, but you with your music and beautiful performances I have the will to live returned.

A big hug, my best wishes to you this holiday season approaching and a 2010 full of successes and good health,

I hope to see you soon! rolleyes.gif

Please excuse my English!

Dear Carlos, David, Urs and Sébastien,

I'm a new fan and still have A LOT to dig on the net before knowing everything about you, haha !! laugh.gif laugh.gif
But till then, there's a question I'd like to ask each of you:

- Among all Il Divo's songs, which is (technically) THE MOST DIFFICULT for you to sing ??
(Probably it's different for each of you).

- And going in the same way, which is the EASIEST one to perform ?

Have a very good new week and take care of yourselves,

Luvs from Canada

Good morning gentlemen,

I would just like to thank you for sharing your voices with us, your gift blesses so many people.

I attended my first concert, with my Mother-in-Law, in Brisbane, and we were both 'blown away' by the performance. Now, whenever I play an Il Divo cd, my 3yo daughter comes running in and says "these are the boys you went to see." She then sits with me and asks to see the programme. She is fascinated by your spiky hair David, a young Diva I believe.

Blessings to you and your families during these Christmas holidays.

Dear Il Divo boys smile.gif

Firstly, I want to congratulate you all on the success of your 'Evening with Il Divo' tour. What a tremedous effort to sing in so many Countries and so many venues....what you guys give to your fans, is truely amazing.

With the season of 'giving' upon us.....how special it will be for my Nothern Hemisphere diva friends to attend one (or more tongue.gif ) of your Christmas concerts. Personally, I cannot think of anything more wonderful then hearing Il Divo live singing songs from their Christmas repertoire at Christmas time. What a delightful way to envoke the Christmas spirit!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

And after eight months of travelling the world....at this special time of year....you guys continue to unselfishly give....THANK YOU!

Since it is the season of.... 'giving'.... and we know that it's what you guys do best!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
I would like to propose a suggestion to you. rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

So that divas who cannot attend the concerts do not miss out on this special 'Christmas time with Il Divo' experience, how about if the last concert is recorded and played exclusively through the ID website??
If this is not feasible.....how about just the audio.....fed live.

What a Wonderful Christmas gift that would be to all your fans....world wide!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Hugs to all four of you....CARLOS, DAVID, SEB & URS.

Toronto is only 2 weeks away!

Two years ago around this time my mom was very ill. Her arms and legs suddenly started to go numb and she would fall down without notice. It quickly escalated to wheel chair mobility and then she became bed ridden. Doctors did not know what was causing this. With a lot of uncertainty I flew home and then my sister flew home from Europe for Christmas anticipating the worst. My father had become a loving full time caretaker, giving up his employment, and also becoming my mom’s advocate with doctors. Finally, after much pushing and discussing the alternatives of going to another country for medical aid, my dad was able to get an appointment with a neurologist in Abbotsford. He diagnosed my mom with Guillain-Barré syndrome (non contagious) and immediately admitted her to intensive care and started treatment. There was no guarantee of a full recovery but at least knowing what was wrong provided a glimmer of hope.

Without going through all the details it took a year and a half of treatments, therapy, prayer and love for my mom to walk again; first a few meters with two people holding her, followed by short distances with a walker, and then longer distances with a cane.. Now a full two years later she walks without a cane and is able to do many things we thought she would never do again. To an outsider it may appear that there is nothing wrong with her but she still lives with constant pain, does not sleep through the night, and worries a lot that she can regress.

What does all this have to do with Il Divo you may ask? When you think you are about to lose a loved one, a lot of reflection occurs. For myself the track “Mama” was played as repeat on my player days on end. When I heard you perform it live in Vancouver this past May it suddenly brought tears to my eyes. Too bad you don’t have a song titled “Papa” as I’m sure it would have honoured my amazing father.

My mom, always giving to others and not sharing her own needs has become much more adept at doing things that bring her happiness and joy. Recognizing the importance of family, my parents choose to sell everything and move to Nova Scotia to be with the grandchildren. Prior to leaving they stopped for a visit this summer. While cooking supper I was playing the CD “The Promise” and my mom admitted “I really like this music.” Of course I gushed about seeing you perform in Vancouver. I made a mental note to pick up the CD’s for her Christmas present.

Then came your announcement of the Christmas concert in Toronto! Immediately I knew how I could create a special memory. I thought about buying the meet and greet package for my mom. However, I knew that it would mean more to her (and me) if we could share the experience together. So I purchased plane tickets from both sides of our large country, and decided to include my dad as well. Thanks to the platinum membership I was able to get great seats: L1 : G : 12-14. I know this is something they will never forget, nor expect. They know they are going to Toronto but the concert is still a surprise.

I know the chances of being able to meet you in person are slim, but I am requesting if you can dedicate a song to my parents and all those who struggle with long-term diseases and their caretakers during the Thomson Hall Christmas concert. They both love Amazing Grace and Silent Night. They are fluent in Dutch and English – note hint to Urs.

Like treasured ornaments, thoughts of the special people in our lives brighten the season and warm our hearts. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with the world and allowing us the opportunity to create a family memory that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

On closing, I wish each of you a wonderful holiday season. After an intensive year on the road may you have the opportunity to spend time with family and loved ones and reconnect on a level that recharges the soul.

Kindest Regards
Rosalinde Blake

Hi Carlos, David, Sebastien and Urs...

Greetings from Toronto...Heard you guys are busy getting ready for the Christmas concert series...I cannot wait to be there, most definitely!

I just came back from my vacation yesterday in Bali and Jakarta, I had an amazing time, still a bit tired and sore at some parts but I should recover soon after the long flight yesterday added with a little running through Hong Kong airport because my flight to Toronto, its gate was moved to the other end of the terminal and I only got 1 hour 30 minutes from getting off my flight from Jakarta to Hong Kong, pass through security again and find the information where to go, I didn't even have time to browse around the shops in the terminal or even sat down to catch my breath until I got to my seat inside my flight heading to Toronto...

Believe me I was out of breath, thanks to the speed train which did saved me! Phew...

I will see you at Roy Thomson Hall next Friday, okay?

Love,
Maya.

Dear Urs, David, Carlos and Sébastien !!! smile.gif

OH MY DEAR GOD !!!!! I FINALLY got your AWESOME new CD & DVD yesterday PM and watched it as soon as I reached home after work, haha.

Wow !! “AN EVENING WITH IL DIVO”…WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SHOW IT WAS !!!!! Almost two hours of pure ecstasy, lolll laugh.gif EVERY single detail in it was PERFECT, from the stage arrangement, to the images in the back, to the way you were dressed (so classy and handsome as usual). And this is without to forget to mention that Barcelona was definitely an amazing crowd !!! biggrin.gif
110 overwhelming minutes of goose bumps, happiness, sweetness, magic & light !!!
If it has SUCH effect on DVD I only can imagine how it must be to see you in concert for real hahaha !! No but seriously, it was a real pleasure to listen to all those songs that were not on the previous DVDs before. We’ve been waiting for that for so long !! smile.gif

My favourite tracks this time are definitely (not in specific order cause I’m not able to choose which song is the best, I love them ALL 200%):

- Angelina (I’ve been dying to hear it “live” one day…)
- Bridge Over Troubled Water (truly fantastic version of it !! Whose idea was that one? That was VERY touching…I’ve been listening to this song since I’m about 3 years old and always loved it…it was an amazing surprise to hear it from Il Divo and please, sing it again !!! That was a real gift to us, thank you !!!) smile.gif
- She
- Notte Di Luce (!!!!)
- La Vida Sin Amor (!!!) (This is one of your greatest songs in my opinion but hearing it on CD has absolutely nothing to be besides “seeing” you sing it at the same time !!! Wow and wow again. Never end a show with that song, people will go on stage to bring you back, haha !! It was too energic, sexy, a very strong and unforgettable moment of the show) wink.gif
- Everytime I Look At You (such a beautiful song…*sighs*)
- Caruso (always speechless anyways)
- The Impossible Dream (which I had never heard before – don’t know the original…and loved it !!)
And among the classics:
- La Fuerza Mayor
- Adagio
- Unchained Melody (which totally broke my heart this time it was so so so so so beautiful). When Urs and David sing together at the beginning with such equal and harmonized vocals, it’s…argh…delightful, exquisite !!!!!

Congratulations for all the good work you do, please don’t ever stop…I can’t find the words to express all the good feelings I have when I listen to you !! BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! I’ll never say it enough…

Best wishes always,

Vikie

On Dec. 18th in Boston at the Wang, I'm meeting Il Divo again. Would one of the four members please shake me if I react the way I did on May 14th in Boston? Please, if I say OMG once, shake me back into reality, please. Shake gently though. I am serious about this guys. I want to remember all four faces, eyes and hand
shakes. Sebastien, you are the only face I remember and the only hand I remember. Truly, I felt like a fool. My question, would one of you please do this for me? Also, were there any comments on the pictures on
the note cards (babies & kitten)? Should I wear a sign saying "OMG" so you'll know who I am? Urs, save the
best for last.

Dear Carlos, David, Seb and Urs,

Just want to say Good Luck for tonight and tomorrow in London for the premiere of your Christmas concert series, which will have its debut tonight at Apollo Theater, London.

Wish I could be there, but I will be at the Toronto's Christmas concert this coming Friday, I cannot wait to see all the surprises, the songs you will be singing and you all to come back...

And promise me, sing Adagio again, okay? I always love that song...Or even La Promessa...

And trust me, you guys will be blown away being in Roy Thomson Hall...

And, safe trip to Toronto after that...Have fun, break a leg (you know what it means, right?) and blow the UK divas and all the divas who will be in attendance either tonight or tomorrow or even both concerts, stay warm and stay safe!!!

See you on Friday night in Toronto!!!

Love from Canada,
Maya.
