HeY Carlos, Sebastien, David and Urs..
First of all I would like to say that you are AMAZING!! I have never heard songs like that before...
But I have a question for you: When are you coming to denmark!?
I think their are so many people in Denmark who doesn't know who you are, and i think that is a shame! Actually I had never heard about you, before recently, when i was watching Oprah..
I'll tell everybody I know how great and wonderfull you are, but you also have to come and show it yourself... I wouldn't mind...
Hope to see your in Denmark soon..
<33 Love your all <33

Hello,
First I want to thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Second I want to thank your girlfriends for sharing you guys with us.
Third I want to thank you for the kind of music you sing, which makes it even attractive to a lot of (very) young children. We started a thread in Question Time and is called : "Who has children under 13 who love Il Divo". Don't know if you already detected this thread yourselves. In this thread you can read experiences of little children with your music.
My question : Maybe you guys can also attend in tv programs which are for (younger) children ?
I know you guys have little time on your hands, but I hope you will find the time to post on the forum about this subject. Thanks.

Hi Carlos, David, Sebastian and Urs!
First of all I would like to wish you a very Happy New Year! I hope that 2006 will be a good year for you with health, luck and success and keep on the good job! You're doing it so great!
In the beginning I thought you were an Italian band

! It's not a long time ago that I found out that you're all from different backgrounds. A multicultural band, that's cool! "Il Divo" sounds Italian. Does it mean something?
I'm a big fan of you! You must have heard that a thousand of times from people, isn't it? You're such great singers! It's funny to say, but every time I hear you sing I have goosebumbs. I don't find the right words to describe how special your voices are. Each voice has a different aspect and charachter. That's nice! My parents gave me your DVD "Encore" as a present for New Year. I'm very happy! The concert in Mérida is fantastic and the interviews are very interesting because they give the opportunity to know you better. What I liked about all of you during the intervieuw is that you stays yourselves. You know what I mean? You were not pretending to be stars, even if you're famous now. I appreciate that! The videoclips of "Mama" and "Regresa a mi" are cool and the songs are so beautiful!
May I ask what is going on in your mind when you go somewhere and you see a crowd of people waiting for you to get an autograph? What feeling does it give?
One last thing, I want to wish you a lot of success for you worldtour! It's too bad that I cannot come at your concert the 6th of May at Forest National in Brussels. I'll have exams that time. But I'll hope you'll do it good and show the Belgian people who you really are!
Greetings from Belgium,
Sarah

My grandma is 87 years old and a big fan of yours. She has all your albums and spends most ofnher time watching your DVD.
She is ill at the moment and is in need of a pick me up.
Please could you send her some signed photographs and anything else that may help her recover from her recent illness.

Just a note to say my mom and I are fans, your music is so beautiful it makes you want to cry. We are coming to your concert in Niagara Falls. we have front row seats, can hardly wait. It took alot to get these tickets. My mom was burnt 5 years ago on Valentines Day and spent alot of time in the hospital. So this really means alot to her. Hopefully will be her best Valentines ever. Would love it if you could dedicate a song to her, she just loves Isabel.........Thank you so much, her name is Dorothy Bechard and I am Kim. Also it is my birthday and few days later. Thanks for you time. If you give out any back stage passes would love to be included.... Looking forward to hearing your beautiful voices in person.

I bought your latest album Ancora and I really like it. However, there is noticeable distortion in one song, Si Me Tu Amas. I can hear faint crackling sounds in some portions of the song. It really is disappointing. I use several audio equipment. I can also hear the sound in the downloaded MP3 file.
More power to you, guys.

HELLO AGAIN HEAVENLY VOICES!
Although I‘ve sent you a long post just recently [more precisely: yesterday] I have still a few more questions to ask and a few suggestions to make [and since I still have the time to do that, as today is the last day of my holidays and I’m using it to read and relax at home].
Questions:
I’m just wondering:
how lonely is it at the top?
Do you have to train your voice every day? --> like doing singing-exercises?
And do you have to be silent [or at least speak as less as possible] the day[-s] before you do a concert?
Are you still taking singing-lessons or master-classes?
Why cann’t we mail to Simon Cowell? --> after all, without him “Il Divo” wouldn’t even exist...
What about the [inevitable] jetlags??!! --> how do you deal with them??!!
To me that seems almost impossible [if I only reflect on my own experiences]!!! I’m just hopeless with travelling --> whenever I’m travelling wherever to [whether it is in Europe or far away] no matter if it’s by plane, bus, car I’m always getting a terrible migraine [which normally ends up in throwing up and being ill for a day and night; so you’d better don’t sit next to me in a plane…]. Till now I’ve never arrived at the village to ski in The Alps without being ill and the same goes for my summer-holidays [if I only think of my trip to New York a few years ago...;].
And you guys --> visiting a country for 1 or 2 days, do a lot of interviews and other kind of promotional work, do fotoshoots, a new video, from hotel to hotel etc. not getting 1 minute of rest and immediately move on to another country...;
amazing!
Are you often going to concerts? If so, only to classic ones or also rock, pop, etc.?
Carlos, what’s the story about you and the Dutch artist “Vader Abraham” [= Pierre Cartner]?????????!!!!!!!!! A little while ago I’ve heard something about it in the Dutch tv-show “RTL Boulevard”.
Suggestions:
You really should ask Vangelis to compose a song for “Il Divo”; according to me he did a fantastic job on “Conquest of Paradise”.
And what about the composers from “Cirque du Soleil”? --> personally I simply love what they’re doing; I would call it “music with a heart and soul”.
Please, invite Nigel Kennedy and Vanessa Mae to play the violin on your next album.
Or the 83 year old Toots Thielemans from Belgium; he’s made music with all the great musicians on this planet; he’s a real “icon in music” [nowadays he’s living in the USA and he’s still quite often performing on stage]
I would like to bring to your attention a few [world-]famous Dutch artists [who are all in their thirties, so of the same age-group as “Il Divo”]; you could invite them to work with you sometime in the future...:
Candy Dulfer --> she’s an excellent saxophonist who often does concerts with Prince and many many more well-known musicians [like Dave Stewart from The Eurythmics]; when she’s not performing on stage somewhere on this planet or at one of Prince’s jamsessions she’s composing her own [funky] music.
DJ Tiësto --> for a few years in a row now he has been chosen the “nr 1 dj of the world”; he has been in every club all around the globe and he was present during the Opening Ceremony of The Olympic Games in Athens [to prove in front of a millions people audience why he’s the right nr 1]! Now to act togehter with him would be a real crossover for “Il Divo”!!!!!!
Carel Kraayenhof --> ever since the wedding of the Dutch crown-prince Willem-Alexander and princess Maxima he’s a celebrity; that historical day he played the Astor Piazzolla song “Adios Nonino” on his bandoleon and that brought not only Maxima to tears but at the same time the whole wide nation was crying in front of the tv... [and that’s something for such a down-to-earth nation as Holland is...!!!]. If you ask me: Carel Kraayenhof is music...
Misha Klein --> he’s a “video-artist” [I haven’t got the slightest idea what in English the exact name of his profession is; I don’t mean some one whose making videoclips for popstars!], but I do know that he does projects all around --> one of our best composers! Whatever he does turns into gold!
DJ Armin van Buuren --> the number 3 dj of the world; extremely successful [the remix of the tv-series “24” is his job]; he did a fabulous crossover [the theme for the “Sensation White” dance-trance festival] with the Dutch classical pianist Jan Vayne.
Trijntje Oosterhuis --> a great singer; she has already sang together with Andrea Bocelli, Queen, Coolio, All Jarreau, Lionel Richie…
The past 2 weeks there was a show [a reality-program] running on Dutch television, in which 3 very popular Dutch singers [Gordon, Gerard Joling and René Froger; the 3 of them did 2 concerts last summer in our Ajax-football-stadium in Amsterdam, “De Arena” for a 90000 people crowd] left for Austria for skiing... and 50 of their fans were invited to come along with them!!! You can imagine what great fun it must have been that week with lots of singing, eating & drinking, all sorts of games in the snow, hardly any sleep at all!
Wouldn’t that be a brilliant idea for “Il Divo” [and their fans] too?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crossovers:
It would be nice if you would ask Jamie Cullum to record a song with you [that would be a jazzy crossover...].
Or Shakira, to add a bit of Latin flavour [Carlos, dance a salsa or tango with the lady on stage!; or even better: a belly-dance!].
In the past I liked the Paul Simon – Ladysmith Black Mambazo crossover! And nowadays Paul Anka’s lounge & swing versions of famous hits of the 80’s is a good effort.
Songs to record:
“One day I’ll fly away” – Randy Crawford
“Music” – John Miles
“Time after time” – Cindy Lauper
“Musica e” – Eros Ramazotti
“I believe I can fly” – R. Kelly
Duets to sing:
“Knocking on a heavens door” – Il Divo + Eric Clapton + Guns ‘n roses
“Gangsta’s paradise” – Il Divo + Coolio + orchestra + choir [they did it before on the “Night of the Proms”]
an a capella song with “The Nylons” [if they’re still alive...]
I’m running out of questions & suggestions…
For now: Bye Bye!

GREETINGS FROM MISJELLE

Hey guys!
I've got some weird question for you :?
I know you won't come to Russia in near future

, but I need you like a drug addict, just can't do without you.
I envy those happy fans who can see you in their city - I can't
But I'm going to see your perfomance in Vienna!!! WOW!
And now the question at last

Is it somehow possible to MEET you guys? I mean, come up, talk, give presents (I have some ideas! U'll like it! LOL) etc... Will I have any bonuses like a very devoted fan, overcoming huge diatances and difficulties to see you? LOL That would mean really A LOT for me, that would be the day to remember forever. Pleeeeeease!
Hi Guys,
I have to first say that I absoultely love you guys. The music you create touches me so deeply and close to my heart. I thank you for that.
I do have one question. Is there any chance that you guys could be stopping in Edmonton Alberta Canada, You really do not know how many fans you have in western canada.
Thanks for everything
Sara

Hi Guys,
I was just wondering, what airlines you usually fly on your way around the world. Because, me beeing a flight attendant, I am still hoping to welcome you on one of my flights someday. I would really love to give you something in return for all the wonderful moments you have given me so far, and sure will give in the future, thinking of the upcoming tour.
Or are you travelling on a private jet. Then I would instantly consider quitting my job and apply for one at your service  .
Anyhow, I am in the lucky position to see you both in the United States (Portland) and in Europe (Frankfurt) and I am really looking forward to it.
Thank you for the beautiful music you create and for always beeing so adorable.
Lot’s of love from
Doris

Hi Guys' date=' for when a concert in Portugal? I'm impatient!!
May I ask one very nasty question ?
Can one of you tell me what is the link between Schubert, Rachmaninoff Fauré and....Celine Dion ?????????????
(she has a wonderful voice, i admit)
"Ave Maria" and "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" on the same cd...yes !
That is cheeky, but it sounds more "marketing" than art, isn't it ?
I have, you can imagine, a lot of hot questions like this one, but i don' t want to be too nasty because it is your job, that you probably try to do as the best as possible....
I just would like to talk with you about art & music as you seem to know what is it.
Yours
Euryale
HELLO!
Guys, I really hope that you do read this topic regularly [since sending a PM to you is almost impossible], so you will be informed of my little idea...
idea:
“Il Divo” should hire someone, who’s travelling with you during your World Tour and who will write a daily column for the “Il Divo – forum” about the Tour --> all the “in’s & out’s”, behind the scenes, anecdotes, things that went wrong..., how everything is organized & arranged, all the people involved [like the musicians, technicians etc.] etc. etc. etc.
I’m sure that by doing this you’ll do all forum-members a big favour!
GREETINGS FROM MARIËTTE

Hi Carlos, Sebastien, David and Urs
How do you take care of your voices? As a voice over person pineapple juice at room temperature is great for me but how do you guys manage to keep your voices so pure and unblemished with the gruelling punishment your vocal chords get after all those explosive finales? Not to mention your upcoming tour.
I have just bought your first and second albums, along with Encore, your dvd...Urs, your voice is indescribably beautiful, I have never cried from beauty in music before (and I was in radio for 20 years and played alot of it) but I had tears rolling down my cheeks when you sang O Holy Night, which incidentally is my favourite Christmas carol too. David described your voice as pure and tender, I say it is heaven sent...you are all truly blessed...I am in awe.
Would you believe your 3 Sydney concerts are all sold out already? I could not imagine a more beautiful way to spend an evening than to let your magnificent voices caress my ears...I so longed to see you in Sydney but alas, no tickets!!!
Thank you for the glorious pleasure your voices have brought into my life.
xxxx

I can't wait to see you and the guys when you perform at Birmingham NEC in April.
I hope you'll give us your rendition of 'Ave Maria' from Ancora, one of my favourites from the album - I think it's a fantastic arrangement, I'm sure Schubert would approve.
I also love 'O Holy Night'. Is it possible to obtain a copy of your version of this lovely carol? I'm thinking maybe our group of choristers at Church might like to include it in our programme of carols next Christmas (of course, less the big orchestral arrangements, maybe just keyboard/guitar accompaniment?)
One more thing, would you consider recording 'You raise me up' (Westlife)? I think it's a great song which would be ideal for your voices & style.
Counting the days 'til April 14th....

GUYS!!! I READ THAT MAYBE YOU'RE PLANNING TO COME TO VENEZUELA ON OCTOBER-NOVEMBER THIS YEAR... I'D LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE. IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF YOU COME' date=' ENOUGHT FOR A LIFE TIME.[/quote']
