Dear Mod on duty,

In the News section, they ask for us to write a review of our concerts, which was best, and favorite moments, but I can't find out were to post it.

Can you please let me know where to post?

Thanks

Hi Sue...

They have not listed a link to a thread to post in so I would say until they do, if you want to write a review go to the respective concert thread and write it there or wait and see if they are going to list a thread.

Maybe they will open one soon specifically for that. Until then, I would just recommend posting in the concert threads.

Sorry I could not help more.

Cheers,

Any Mod.
I've been a fan of ID since July of 2005. Didn't join the forum untill '07, didn't have a computer untill then.
I recently bought Bose Speakers and Headphones for the computer, what a difference!!! So I am going back thru the "old stuff". I am hearding them like never before. More clear, more powferful, just outstanding.

I have the first album "Il Divo" with the DVD side, no wonder the guy were off to a brillant start, they were great from the "git- go". Not bad to look at either. A woman always notices that, no matter her age.

Now my question: What was the Gotham Hall Show? People are at tables, were they the entertainment for a party or were they there to be introduced as a new act or what. I have no idea.

Let hope they all have some good "down time" before the Christmas shows, then have a relaxing long time off so they can come back with another great album and tour.

Bless them for being so special. wub.gif

Hi Sage smile.gif

'Gotham Hall' was the venue for the guys' second USA showcase in 2005 ... the first was in Florida in, I think, February 2005, before the London one in March 2005.

I think they were aimed mainly at the music industry/press and other specially invited guests in the USA, though at the London one, in addition, there were a number of tickets available for competition winners. All the showcases were in small venues as obviously they weren't very well known at this point. They performed five numbers at each ... Regresa A Mi, Passera, Mama, Nella Fantasia and My Way.

Janey x

edit: I should add that the DVD of the Gotham Hall show was available as a Dual Disc with 'Il Divo' but only in the NTSC format.

smile.gif Hi Janey
Thank you for your answer to my question. I thought it must be something like that. It just didn't look right for a show or concert. I didn't have a computer at that time, so really couldn't keep up on the news.

Yes that is the CD-DVD I have. can't remember just how I got it. I also have the regular CD which stays in the car. Can't go far with out my "guys".

There is another video of them singing at a college or school that I use to have, but lost it. It was really nice, I'd like to have it again, but can't seem to find it any where. Can't remember where it was (senior moment, more like a hour)It was very polite,no screams or talking, just great applause. If some one has a copy of the video I would appreciate having it.
Thank you again Janey, you certainly have a stressfull job here for not any compensation.
sage

Good evening. I am new to the Il Divo forum and am getting ready to see my first concert in NY. I've noticed that many fans post pictures they've taken from concerts.

My question...are small camera's allowed inside Il Divo concerts?

We're heading to NY from Ohio and are planning to spend an extra day in the city. I dont want to have my camera confiscated or worse yet...have to toss it to get into the concert.

Thanks,
Tammy

Hi Tammy,

Welcome to the forum. I hope you'll have a lot of fun. If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to contact any of the moderators and we will do our best to help you.

You're going to your first Il Divo concert? Oh, you'll love it! They are truly amazing, and to see and hear them live is something you will always remember.

As for cameras, each venue is different. It depends on the venue and their security as to how they handle cameras. As a rule, the majority of them allow you to take pictures with small cameras. It's the professional cameras (or SLRs) that are frowned on. However, there have been a few concerts (but only a few) where security allowed absolutely no cameras. I think you'll be okay if your camera is a small one. You can put it in your purse, and if they announce that cameras aren't allowed, you can just leave it there. Hopefully, you'll be able to use it and capture some amazing moments.

Good luck, and I'll look forward to hearing all about your night with the guys. Enjoy!

Ruth

I think you're referring to the videos that were put up on the main page? We have no control of what happens to those videos........they are put up by forum management. There are still quite a few available, but the questions the guys were answering seem to have been taken off.

Sorry to say, we don't have them archived anyplace on the forum. sad.gif
