THE BOOK SIGNINGS

1.50 BREAKING NEWS

The signing is half over and was fantastic! The guys were piped in by a piper playing his bagpipes and it was wonderful. They were all dressed in dark suits with ties, Seb and David had white shirts and black ties, Urs and Carlos had black shirts and dark ties. They all looked great and very smart, Seb is very slim, as I said before.

When they came in there was a brief photoshoot, they stood in front of the black glass table holding the books then went to sit down behind the table for more photos. Urs was on the right and started the signing, followed by David, Seb and Carlos.

No written names, no dedications, but you were allowed to buy and have signed 2 books. Everyone was pushed through very quickly and signatures are bit scrawly but who cares, the guys were charming and full of smiles. Just a few seconds with each one, barely time to speak but time for a few photos as they signed your book.

Afterwards fans were ushered away but allowed to stand for a minute to take more photos until the crowd got too big. As the first people were leaving they could see the queue had grown a lot and possibly not everyone will get their books signed

My roving reporter was of course Cheryl - Chez 666; she was barely able to talk to me but thinks she has some good group photos but she won’t be able to post until Wednesday.

EDIT - just to make the story complete I've added the 2 previous reports to this one as I think they are part of it and everyone seemed to be amused by them.

11.57 HOT OFF THE PRESS - NEWS FROM THE HARRODS QUEUE

just spoke to someone in the Harrods queue, the queue started at about 6 am but not many people turned up!! By the time the doors opened at 9.30 to let the queue in, instead of the anticipated hundreds there were only about 80 people there. Even now inside the shop there aren't even 150 people.

Seb walked down the road about 9.20, looking very slim, wearing a blue shirt and jeans and jacket, he waved and called hello but only a few people managed to get a quick photo, he took everyone by surprise as no one was expecting to see him.

Inside the shop the queue is snaking round but out of sight of the table and people have been told they cannot leave the queue to wander about. There are barriers ready in case things get out of hand. In fact people towards the end of the queue may be in a better position to see the guys come to the table when they come in.

They have arrived early for press and publicity shoots somewhere in Harrods and when they come to the table there will be more press and a photoshoot before any fans are allowed to move forward. So possibly not much chance of fans getting good photos at this stage. More news from my roving - and raving - correspondant later!

12.44 HOT OFF THE PRESS PART TWO FROM THE QUEUE AT BLUEWATER

This time from my second roving reporter at Bluewater.

She arrived at 11.45 and got ticket number 26. There are about 35 people there at the moment. They are being kept out in the mall outside the shop, there is a very efficient but very pleasant organiser there, master minding the whole event with military precision.

You must be there in person to get a ticket, a friend can't get one for you. Once you have your ticket, you are allowed to leave the queue to get refreshments etc as long as one of your party remains in the queue.

The guys will come in to the shop via the back staff entrance so won't be seen by the fans queueing in the mall. They will sit inside the shop in a totally screened enclosure so they can't be seen by anyone. Fans will remain in the mall and the organiser will escort small groups of 5 or 6 at a time behind the screens so there won't be any pushing or jostling. You will be allowed to present them with gifts at the table.

Books are available at the store, the organiser was asking who already had books so those who didn't could go and get them.
