Bring it on Julia!!!
Yeap, red lace kebaya it is for me the next time they come around (if there is a next time!! I'm praying hard for there to be one!!) :wink: By the way, I forgot to mention in the earlier report that some of the DIVOted forum ladies got some air time on national tv when the network aired programme "The making of ID in Malaysia"!!! Bravo Ladies!!! ... and continuing on with my report (and here you are thinking that I'm done!! :shock: How wrong you are!! Did I not tell you that I've got so much to say!! :twisted: )... actually, I thought I was done too until I remembered these "issues"...
Lets start this report off with the "stalking" issue which some Divas from the forum raised/voiced their concerns on... Firstly, when we were were talking about it, it was all for the heck of it and we had no intention whatsoever of ever implementing it!! Anyways, would any real stalker be posting their game plan in an open forum for the whole world to read?! I think not!! Secondly, the few of us who were exchanging conversation and/or "scheming" about it including me are those from the age group of 30 something onwards and we have all had established our careers locally and internationally and to be caught stalking would be suicidal for our careers so there is no way that we are going to jeopardise that, NOT even for ID!! The last bit I wanted to add is on the proposed greet and meet session with the guys. Stella and PikSeen worked hard in trying to get a session with them but it didn't quite work out... I am a firm believer of the quote "Ask and you shall receive!!" We asked and it was rejected and we are fine with it; at least we took the initiative to ask. Kudos to both of you for taking time to do it for us!! Salut!! By the way, we are aware that certain people in the Forum thought that it was too much for us to be asking this from the guys but hey, why shouldn't we? This is ID's first time venturing to our shores and we are not even sure if they'll ever come back again and with that in mind, we had to do whatever it takes to make it memorable for all and we've got nothing to lose anyways. If they agreed to have that session with the forum members, than its great and if they don't, well its no biggie!! Life goes on!!! That should about cover all that I wanted to say/write about the KL Concert 2007 or is it? .... and will my report ever end? err... of course it would... at one point or another!! :roll: :roll:
... so until the next time around... Nor :wink: -------------------- In my own world... dancing away!!

Hey there, my dear friend found my report (which I thought was forever lost in cyberspace
)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I arrived at KLCC at 7.30pm only to realize that I’m at the wrong side of the building! So off I walk/ran in my heels, bags to the other side. I met up with Julia, Lyn, Azmina, Fy, Stella and Astrea. Like Julia said, I can’t remember what songs or in which order they sang! But as I recalled it was RAM, My Way, ETILAY, PQTME, Passera, Nella, Musica, Nights in white satin, La vida sin amor, Caruso (Seb mentioned it was a special song to him because he sang that for his audition) Seb and David along with Urs were grooving to La Vida! That was fun to watch. There was a point where Seb did a little jig or twirl towards Carlos and he broke into laughter whilst singing! Way to go guys!! David asked the audience, “Are you ready to surrender to us?” “YES!!” the crowd screamed. Urs, God that man is too cool for words! “Then surrender to us!” and sang! (I forgot which song was that, sorry!) OMG…Julia and I squealed! Carlos tried to say “I love you” in Malay but it came out a garble of words. He repeated it 3 times, but it didn’t come out right. But thank you for trying Carlos! Seb chastised him a little “If you’re going to say something gross, don’t say it!” Suits, it’s all black and white. No dinner suits or maroon suits. The stage was small and very intimate. No roman columns. The sound system was good and the musicians were great. The lightings was awesome too, very suitable for the evening; soft, romantic. They kept Mama. “We dedicate this to 4 women in our lives; our mothers” David said. They crowd just aww.. Somewhere is in there too. We were told we can’t give them their gift by our friendly bouncer/usher. BTW our friendly usher is a make-up artist and he did Urs’s hair! According to him, Urs is very friendly and the guys are down to earth. So when Somewhere was being sung, Julia and I dashed down the stairs in heels, dress and gifts!!! I handed Urs his gift and he said thank you!!! Seriously pictures don’t do him justice. He is fab in person and not to mention gorgeous! Went over to David and shook his hands! He is full of smiles and very sweet. I am not washing my hands after this! LOL I will post the pictures later....but its not as great as WMV! All you can see is a giant head!
-------------------- Thanks Ing!

No one told me that the concert threads had been lost...but as I'm here I'll add on a bit.
I saved my report on my computer, but I'll just quote some parts of it here: Seb didn't mess up Everytime, but he totally messed up Notte Di Luce and a couple of others frm Siempre I think. In NDL he sang "Notte di luce...una lette infinita. Una lettera che" and mixed up the order of 'bene sai' and 'bene assai' in Caruso. And he completely forgot some lines in another song (I think LVSA but I'm not sure) and laughed - so cute!
I really didnt expect anyone else to mess up their lyrics, but Carlos messed up some lyrics too! I can't remember right now what song, but he started the first line, sang the 2nd & 3rd from the other verse of the same tune and went back to the right lyrics. I'm not sure who said this, but when the chairs were taken out for them to sit, one of the guys asked the audience "Anyone want to trade seats?" and we all screamed "YES!!!".
I tried to get a photo with Seb during Somewhere, but unfortunately for me the lights were turned off at that moment so I only managed to get a silhoutte. There is a photo of Seb with me in it in the Fotopage link that Julia posted before I asked him for the picture. Sing Ping found it and it was a great surprise for me - THANK YOU once again!!! I was lucky to get a picture with Urs at the stage because he didn't go to the after-party. I didnt get an individual photo with David...only 2 group pix with him and the Divas but it's ok - let others have a chance at him. Getting a good photo with Seb - in fact, two!!! - was more than I could ask for! I got some photos with Carlos too. Joanne helped me take many of these photos, and I owe her a BIG thank you! Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that I was dumbstruck and speechless the first time I saw Seb (he looked at me!!! # #)....
I won't re-post my photos again.
Btw, Kak Nor, you mentioned that some ppl on the forum thought we were asking too much for the signing session. (I was not aware of that!!) But here's what I have to say about that. I think not having the signing session ended up stressing the guys out more than if they had had it. Personally, I have a feeling that if some certain ppl had approved an organized signing session, there would have been considerably less chasing about of the guys at the after-party. They were tired enough from performing, and still they had to be dragged about the whole place. Those of you who were there will know what I mean. I am guilty of it myself, but can you blame us for making the most of our chance to meet the guys and say our thanks when we were not allowed to before the concert? That was why I didn't push my luck and linger around even though they themselves did not chase us away. Having said that last sentence, I can also point out that when there was no one chasing us away and "dragging them" away it was quite relaxing and calm for both parties. (I'm referring to the after the party, at the hotel lounge) Which is why I say a signing session would have been a good idea. The whole experience (not only with the Divos but also the Divas ) was so far the best one of my life. I can't say thank you enough, especially to the guys themselves for taking the time to come!
Okay, enough said for now. -------------------- Blog: http://ordinarycontradictions.blogspot.com

This section has now been locked down into an archive full of fabulous memories of the 2007 IL DIVO World Tour. Because of this, there can be no more postings into this thread. If you suddenly find any photos and/or videos of this show that you'd like added, please pm one of the mods and we'll edit them into this final post on your behalf.
